Fabulous vintage 50's Vera scarf that is pretty hard to find in the original package. Winglets by Vera, the package reads, Pat. Pending, but looking at the models and the attire this is from the 1950's. Pure silk, pink with white and hot pink polka dots all over it. Rhinestones for added accent. Photos inside folder which holds the Winglets show model wearing them in six different ways. Has original Marshall Field & Co. sticker that shows original price $2.95, then it is marked down to $2.00- obviously even famous fashion designers have their mistakes. Packages, states, "Flights of Fancy...new Vera creation.… in two versions: The Strip winglet for bracelet effect…the triangle winglet for neckline or sleeve, both with buttonhole features for easy-make bows." No date - Patent Pending. One photo shows the model holding a cigarette. If you are interested in unusual fashion by a known designer Vera, this is for you! Would be awesome displayed in a vintage fashion store. Please note on this one, the cellophane is torn on one side.
